By GREG WOODFIELD, US SENIOR REPORTER Published: 13:24, 5 July 2026 | Updated: 13:29, 5 July 2026 Pouting and posing, one of the 'smiling sisters' accused of murdering a Texas mom showed off her own young son in a series of videos she posted online, the Daily Mail can reveal. But now, as she faces a possible life term in prison if found guilty of murdering a mother of five, the boy's future has been thrown into turmoil. Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, paid gushing tribute to how the four-year-old boy 'saved her life' in the TikTok clips where she frequently preened and pursed her lips towards the camera. In one, she wrote self-pityingly: 'After so many failed relationships and prayers I finally realized how blind I've been, God already gave me my someone to…' The footage then switched to her son walking on a lawn and holding her hand, with the caption continuing 'love me how I always wanted to.' Her last posting was on June 12, just two weeks before Caroline 'Caro' Pena, 32, was stabbed multiple times in an attack cops say was started by Diaz's 19-year-old sister Amaya Cookie. Pena was knifed in the back before Kitty Mia and friend Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, allegedly joined in the deadly assault that was captured on home security footage, according to a police report in the border town of Del Rio. The three women have not yet pleaded to murder charges and are each being held on $5 million bond. Kitty Mia's final TikTok video had her lips darkly glossed and pouting at the camera, with a caption over the footage that read: 'I've always wondered what it felt like to be loved unconditionally.' It then switched to a clip of her son and with the words 'now I know what it feels like.' Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, posted a slew of gushing TikToks about her 4-year-old son before she was arrested over the murder of mom-of-five Caroline 'Caro' Pena in Texas on June 26 Showing she knows the bond of motherhood in her final TikTok before her arrest, the 21-year-old wrote that she now knew what it felt like to be loved unconditionally after giving birth to her son And writing underneath she gushed: 'My GG the one who saved my life in ways he'll never fully understand… the day he came into my world, he gave me the reason to be stronger, better, and keep pushing forward. 'Every smile, every hug, every 'Mommm' reminds me how blessed I am he is my greatest accomplishment, my biggest motivation, and the piece of my heart that walks outside my body every day. 'No matter how hard life gets, one look at him makes life worth it. I love you more than words could ever explain, my sweet baby boy, my GG. 'Thank you for saving me, giving me purpose, and showing me a love so pure and unconditional. You will always be my greatest blessing.' In other clips with her son she writes 'no love like a son's love' and 'my son is about to be four years old and still only a child'. Diaz's adoring footage on the theme of maternal love and savior is in devastating contrast to the murder of Pena, who leaves behind children aged three to 16. She was fatally knifed outside Faz's Del Rio home after driving there on the afternoon of June 26. And a harrowing photo of her last moments has emerged showing a large amount of blood flooding through her white shirt moments after the stabbing. In one clip, Diaz gushed that the day her son came into the world, he 'gave me the reason to be stronger, better', a stark contrast to the murder of a mother that she is now accused of She is accused of depriving five children of their mother, but Kitty frequently posted about her love for her own son Yet after their arrests, scantily-clad Amaya was captured on film smirking and giggling as she was led in handcuffs to a police SUV and older sister Kitty was seen grinning. The Daily Mail can also reveal that Faz was jailed in 2023 for running illegal migrants over the US border with Mexico. Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, was arrested in Del Rio, Texas after Caroline Pena was knifed to death She was handed two 24-month sentences for conspiracy to transport aliens and illegal alien transportation after being busted by Border Patrol agents in the city of Uvalde in August of that year. Border Patrol agent Jeremy Reynaga wrote in the complaint to the US District Court for West Texas that Faz and another US citizen were arrested by Border Patrol agents on August 27, 2023 'for transporting two illegals… into the United States'. Faz was driving a red sedan while the other American drove a black one. 'During an immigration inspection of the vehicle agents found one subject in the truck of the black… sedan and another subject inside the trunk of the red… sedan that were illegal[y] present in the United States with no legal documentation. Now Faz, along with the Diaz sisters, has been charged with murder. All three are being held at Val Verde Correctional Facility. Pena's killing happened after she turned up at Faz's home in a black Dodge pickup truck. It is not yet known why she was there – although all the women knew each other according to multiple sources. Caroline Pena, a 32-year-old mom-of-five, was stabbed to death in a broad daylight attack on June 26 A photo appears to show Pena's last moments after she was attacked, with blood seeping though her shirt Following their arrests, Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19, (left) was captured on film smirking and giggling as she was led in handcuffs to a police SUV. Her older sister, Kitty, was also seen grinning Faz told investigators Pena had 'arrived at the residence looking for a fight,' the criminal complaint said. Shortly afterwards the Diaz sisters turned up in a black Chrysler 300 and got out to confront Pena. This was captured by cameras at Faz's house, the police report added. 'Within the video footage, Amaya is observed exiting the front passenger seat of the vehicle and approaching Carolina,' it said. 'Amaya is observed with an object believed to be a knife in her right hand. Amaya and Carolina get into an altercation, and Amaya is observed striking Carolina in the back, where blood can be observed on the back of her shirt.' Kitty and Faz then jumped in and allegedly beat the mom before fleeing, it adds. Pena died after emergency treatment at a San Antonio hospital. By 4pm, Del Rio Police Department officers swooped in to arrest the Diaz sisters and Faz. But before they were seized, Kitty and Amaya had already showered and changed their clothes. 'While speaking with Kitty and Amaya, it was observed that they were no longer wearing the clothing originally seen on the video footage, and they had recently showered, as their hair was wet,' police said. Footage taken at the siblings' home showed a barefoot Kitty had changed out of the pink top and blue jeans she was seen wearing in video of the attack into a tight black romper with a print of white hands cupping her breasts. Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19, (left) and her friend Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, (right) were also arrested over the mom's murder. All three are being held at Val Verde Correctional Facility, each on a $5million bond Pena leaves behind children aged three to 16. An uncle said she had known her alleged attackers but a motive for her killing wasn't yet clear Meanwhile, Amaya smiled and smirked as she was led away by police in a different skimpy outfit that revealed her bare midriff. One of Pena's devastated friends, Zelina Ochoa, revealed her heartbreak at seeing the picture of the mom covered in blood. 'It's a very powerful picture because it shows these three girls showed up with their weapons and Caro showed up with nothing but her hands,' she alleged. An uncle of the victim revealed to the Daily Mail that the women all knew each other. 'It's a small town… their family, everyone has a connection, so it's even harder. Her kids are the ones that are taking it the hardest.' Del Rio Police Chief Frank Ramirez has also said the trio knew the victim but declined to speculate on any motive for the attack. He told TMZ of the Diaz sisters' smiles: 'My impression is it didn't look good and you would think there would be a little more remorse in a situation like that – it looked callous.'
