Napoli have contacted Chelsea to ask after unwanted striker Marc Guiu, but the Blues rejected Roma’s attempt to secure Jamie Gittens on loan.
This evening there are multiple Italian sources reporting that clubs are knocking at the Stamford Bridge door, because they have such a surplus of players going into the final weeks of the transfer window.
Chelsea targeted for Guiu and Gittens

Guiu hasn’t even been given a squad number for this season, yet the 20-year-old has still been given a reported asking price of €30m.
Sky Sport Italia claim that Napoli have started talks for Guiu, noting that they are prepared to make a long-term investment for the Spain Under-21 international.

On the other hand, Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà reports that Roma are still hoping that Gittens will be made available on loan by Xabi Alonso.
So far, the Premier League side has refused to accept those terms, but the situation might change later in the summer when time is running out to find solutions for these players.
The 22-year-old winger can play on the left or the right and the English side paid €56m to buy him from Borussia Dortmund only a year ago.
