By drafting WR Makai Lemon, Philadelphia Eagles signal plans for post-A.J. Brown world

PHILADELPHIA —  The conversation in Philadelphia every day this offseason has seemed to focus on A.J. Brown. Why would the Eagles’ first-round pick bring anything different?If adding three veterans didn’t do enough to signal plans for Brown’s expected departure, the clearest sign yet might have come Thursday night when the Eagles selected USC wide receiver Makai Lemon in the first round. They gave up two fourth-round picks to move up from No. 23 pick to No. 20 to secure Lemon, who appeared poised to head to Pittsburgh. (Lemon was even on the phone with Steelers officials when the Eagles made the trade to leapfrog Pittsburgh.)
