GB News was out in the glorious sunshine to quiz Londoners on any amorous ambitions for the day.
In 2024, most babies born on a single day were conceived nine months after the second May bank holiday, according to the Office for National Statistics data.
However, the opinion among those in the capital appeared mixed on continuing that trend in 2026.
“Unfortunately, I am the most single person ever in my life. All my friends are mingling, but no, I'm just working,” one young woman said.
“You'll have to ask the boss, but I'll try,” a moustachioed man told GB News.
Another punter revealed: “I absolutely wish I could be doing my bit. Maybe the next bank holiday.”
“I won't be. I’m going to watch football now. So, more important matters to attend to,” a young man declared.
