On the viewing platform on the 10th floor the boy had skipped ahead of his parents when he was snatched by mentally disturbed Jonty Bravery and hurled over the railing - resulting in life-changing injuries and a bleed on the brain that has left him in a wheelchair and requiring round-the-clock care.‌Seven years on and the family remain locked in a living nightmare. Their hopes and dreams of watching their son grow into an independent young man have been shot. But on that fateful day, the French mum and dad had no idea what danger they were in as they enjoyed a week-long holiday in the captial.‌Bravery, then 17, had been researching the best way to kill someone and had decided he would throw someone from the viewing platform at the art gallery after first trying to get into the Shard earlier in the afternoon. He had already told care workers of a plan to push someone off a high building roughly a year earlier.
