Boy, 10, hit by car
South Wales Police were called to Llangyfelach Road, Brynhyfryd, Swansea at around 3.15pm on Tuesday, June 2. Police closed the road in both directions between the junction of Courtney Street and Furnace Way roundabout, and drivers were asked to avoid the area. It followed a report of a 10-year-old boy having been struck by a car. Officers say an investigation into the incident determined that the driver was not at fault and that the victim "had run into the road." Police say they visited the boy’s parents on Thursday. No action is to be taken against the driver. It is understood the boy sustained a hairline fracture after he fell awkwardly.
