katılımıyla Brüksel’de dün Eurovision'a "alternatif" nitelikte düzenlenen "Filistin için Birlik-Soykırıma Sahne Yok" konseri öncesinde AA muhabirine değerlendirmelerde bulundu. Murad, ailesinin işgal altındaki Filistin topraklarında yaşadığını, hem yakınlarını hem de ülkesinde sanatını icra etmeyi çok özlediğini söyledi. İsrail’in Eurovision’a katılımına karşı olduğunu dile getiren Murad, "Benim açımdan bakarsanız, İsrail’in hiçbir zaman Eurovision’a katılmaması gerekirdi. Ama bu şekilde Avrupa uzun süre ayakta kalamaz." şeklinde konuştu. Avrupa Yayın Birliği EBU, Ukrayna'da başlayan savaş nedeniyle 2022'den bu yana Rusya'yı yarışmadan menetmesine rağmen benzer bir kararı İsrail için almaması nedeniyle "ikiyüzlülük" ve "çifte standart" eleştirilerinin hedefi olmuştu. EBU'nun Aralık 2025'te yapılan genel kurul toplantısında İsrail’in 2026 Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması’na katılımını engellememesi kararının ardından birçok Avrupa ülkesinde boykot çağrıları yapılmıştı.
