Bayern Munich, Germany forward Serge Gnabry to miss World Cup with thigh injury

The forward has been capped 59 times by Germany, scoring 26 goals, and was looking to represent the nation at the World Cup for the second time after starting all three of the team’s group stage games in Qatar in 2022. Gnabry scored three goals and provided one assist in six appearances to help the national team qualify for this summer’s tournament last year.
