Detectives have issued a plea for information after an incident on Amazon Drive in Baldivis, in Perth's south, about 2am on March 19.  CCTV footage from inside the centre shows a blue Nissan ute smashing through the glass doors and reversing into the ATM, knocking it over. Two men wearing all-black rushed to the cash machine and wrapped a thick chain around it while the driver repositioned the ute.  The ATM was then seen being dragged towards the entrance. 'Detectives believe the offenders to be local to the Baldivis area,' Constable Alex Lowe told reporters. 'Ram raids are deliberate and dangerous offences which can create significant risk to public safety including employees, security personnel and members of the public who may be in the vicinity. 'This behaviour will not be tolerated.  Detectives have issued a plea for information after a ute rammed into a shopping centre on Amazon Drive in Baldivis, Perth, in the early hours of the morning on March 19  The ute toppled an ATM which two individuals wrapped in a chain connected to the vehicle The ATM was then dragged from the shopping centre 'The damage caused in these incidents often has a significant impact on local businesses including financial loss, inability to trade, and emotional effects on staff.' Two days later, police found the burnt-out ute in a ditch in East Rockingham.  WA Police has urged businesses to review their security arrangements, including the use of bollards, reinforced entry points, alarms and high-quality CCTV systems.  Detectives have urged anyone with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone vision of the vehicle related to this incident to share it with police.  People with information have been asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
