أكد ممثل إيران لدى المنظمة البحرية الدولية السفير علي موسوي أن استمرار الملاحة في مضيق هرمز مرهون بالامتثال للوائح والتدابير السلامية والأمنية التي تعلنها السلطات الإيرانية المختصة، وشدد خلال لقائه الأمين العام للمنظمة البحرية الدولية، على أن "مضيق هرمز مفتوح والملاحة البحرية لم تتوقف"، بحسب "روسيا اليوم".

وقال :"إن الوضع غير الآمن الحالي في الخليج ومضيق هرمز وبحر عمان هو نتيجة مباشرة للعدوان العسكري والإجراءات المزعزعة للاستقرار التي تقوم بها أميركا والكيان الصهيوني ضد إيران".

وأوضح أن بلاده "في إطار حقها الأصيل في الدفاع المشروع، تتخذ التدابير اللازمة والمناسبة لمنع استغلال الأطراف المعتدية والداعمين لهذا العدوان لمضيق هرمز في أعمال عدائية"، مشيرا إلى أنها "نفذت أيضا مجموعة من التدابير الاحترازية للحد من المخاطر".

وشدد موسوي على أن "استمرار الملاحة مرتبط بمراعاة الحقائق الناجمة عن النزاع الدائر"، داعيا إلى "الالتزام بالتدابير الأمنية التي أعلنتها الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية".
