Sean Miller, a 50-year-old from Subiaco in Western Australia, fronted a Bali court this week after being charged with multiple drug offences, including a drug trafficking charge that carries a maximum life sentence. Miller, who has previously denied the allegations, is also accused of possessing drugs and abusing drugs for personal use. He was arrested on April 5 after his guest house in West Denpasar was searched by specialist drug officers, who allegedly found 600 milligrams of methamphetamine on a table inside his room. Police also seized a glass pipe, a bong that was on the floor and an iPhone. The arrest came after local police received a tip-off that Miller had allegedly been selling drugs from a guest house known to be involved in illegal drug transactions. On Thursday, prosecutor Putu Delia told Denpasar District Court that Miller had, 'without right or unlawfully offering for sale, selling, purchasing, receiving, brokering the sale or purchase of, exchanging, or delivering narcotics.' After the hearing, Miller denied the allegations, telling reporters: 'I don't need to sell drugs.' Indonesia enforces some of the strictest anti-drug laws in the world, with penalties  ranging from long prison sentences to life imprisonment, or even the death penalty.
