ALBAWABA - A video on X has gained wide attention after a person reportedly said that at least 10 people were killed following an attack on student-populated communities in Jos, Plateau State, on Sunday, according to a humanitarian worker.

Alex Barbir, who shared details in the video, allegedly said that "10 Christians were killed on Palm Sunday."

According to Barbir, the incident happened in and around Angwa Rukuba, Eto Baba, and nearby student residential areas after gunmen opened fire, killing many. The party behind the alleged attack on Christians on Palm Sunday is unknown, but some said they were Boko Haram, while others suggested they belonged to the Fulani militia.

For instance, a resident of Angwa Rukuba told TruthNigeria website, "They are Boko Haram, not Fulani. We don’t know how many were killed, but many died."

On the other hand, a separate account from local sources said that attackers, described as Fulani militia, arrived on motorcycles, opened fire at people, and retreated toward nearby mountainous areas.

Students living in Angwa Rukuba, Eto Baba, and the surrounding school environments were urged to stay indoors amid security concerns.

However, there has been no official statement by the Nigerian government regarding the video or any attack on Christians on Palm Sunday.
