Yıllık Yönetim Kurulu Toplantısı, "İlerlemenin Dönüm Noktası: Bölgenin Bağlantılı Geleceğini Şekillendirmek" temasıyla, Semerkant'taki İpek Yolu Fuar ve Kongre Yerleşkesi'nde devam ediyor. Özbekistan Başbakan Yardımcısı Cemşid Hocayev, "Orta Asya'da Kaliteli ve Sürdürülebilir Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımların Teşvik Edilmesi: Sermaye Piyasasının Geliştirilmesi, Taşkent Uluslararası Finans Merkezi ve Yatırımcı Koruması" başlıklı seminerde, ülkesine yönelik uluslararası yatırımların her geçen yıl arttığını ve bu yatırımları güçlendirmek için uluslararası kurumlarla çalışmaların işbirliği içinde sürdürüldüğünü ifade etti. Taşkent Uluslararası Finans Merkezi'nin de uluslararası yatırımlar açışından kritik önemde olacağına işaret eden Hocayev, girişimcilik ekosistemlerindeki proje sayısını artırmayı hedeflediklerini belirtti. Asya Kalkınma Bankası Başkanı Masato Kanda da Banka üyelerinin zorlu bir dönemde bir araya geldiğini ve uluslararası ticaretteki belirsizliğin sürdüğünü ifade etti. Orta Doğu'daki çatışmaların jeopolitik riskleri artırdığını, büyümeyi ve enflasyonu baskıladığını, temel emtiaların tedarik zincirlerini bozduğunu belirten Kanda, buna rağmen bölgenin döneme güçlü bir konumda girdiğini vurguladı. Kanda, bu ortamda doğrudan yabancı yatırımların kritik rol oynadığına ve tek başına sermayenin yeterli olmayacağına dikkati çekerek, yüksek kaliteli ve sürdürülebilir yatırımların güvenin olduğu yere gideceğini belirtti. Seminerde ayrıca, Orta Asya'ya doğrudan yatırımlar ve sermaye piyasalarının güçlendirilmesi konularında öneriler de dile getirildi. "Pan-Asya Enerji Şebekesi Girişimi: Enerji Alanında Bölgesel İşbirliği ve Entegrasyonun Geliştirilmesi" başlıklı seminerde, 2030 yılına kadar enerji ticaretini genişletmek ve yenilenebilir enerjinin entegrasyonunu hızlandırmak amacıyla ulusal ve bölgesel elektrik şebekelerinin birbirine bağlanması konuları görüşüldü. Öte yandan, Asya Kalkınma Bankasının Enerji Ofisi Kıdemli Direktörü Priyantha Cabral Wijayatunga, Enerji Ofisi Direktörü Keiju Mitsuhashi ve Dijital Sektör Ofisi Direktörü Antonio Zaballes de sunumlarında, 2035'e kadar enerji altyapılarına 50 milyar dolar ve dijital altyapılara 20 milyar dolarlık destek sağlayacak Pan-Asya Enerji Şebekesi Girişimi ile Asya-Pasifik Dijital Otoyolu projelerine yönelik bilgi verdi.
