And buddy, that has proved to be just an awful strategy.
Reese, who earlier this week claimed no black Barbie dolls existed when she was a kid (they've been around since the Carter Administration), went viral Monday night after putting up one of the worst basketball shots in the history of the game.
That's right. I'm not talking about just the WNBA. I'm talking about all of basketball. WNBA. NBA. Pee-wee. Rec league. Neighborhood court.
You name it. You will be hard-pressed to find a worse shot attempt than this:
My God. I can't stop watching. What a sight. What a shot. What a league.
Man, is the WNBA the best, or what? I think they should just cancel football season and let us watch the WNBA for the next five months.
Just kidding. Please don't do that. The country would burn.
Reese, by the way, finished Monday's loss to the Aces with respectable numbers. Better than that, actually. She put up 23 points on 10-19 shooting, and added 16 rebounds.
One of those rebounds, and two of those points, came after this incredible shot, by the way.

They don't call 'em "MeBounds" for nothing, you know:
I mean, it's just perfect. Everything about that clip is perfect.
The blind dart throw to the rim. The mebound. The put-back. The yelling and shouting and screaming, all while losing by 20.

It's just perfect. Is Angel Reese a content machine, or what? I can't get enough of her. Between the play on the court, and the absolute nonsense off of it — including her comments before Monday's "Barbie Game Day," which celebrated Reese's signature Barbie doll — I'm all in.

"Honestly, I didn’t have a lot of dolls because I didn’t have dolls that really looked like me much," Reese said before the loss. "That’s why I kind of really wanted to make sure this was super intentional, because now that they have a doll that looks like you, nails and hair, but also you can be a killer on the court as well."

Again, Mattel introduced Christie, a Black character in Barbie’s world, in 1968. The first doll officially named Black Barbie arrived in 1980, more than two decades before Reese was born.
What a wonderful time to be alive.
