The Tates were taken into custody by US Marshals outside of the James L Knight Center on Saturday afternoon. The brothers were arrested on an extradition request from the UK, where they are facing 42 charges, including rape and human trafficking. The pending charges in the UK accuse Andrew, 39, and Tristan, 37, of abusing women between 2012 and 2015 in an area north of London, where they grew up. The brothers have strongly denied any wrongdoing. The Tates will be processed at the federal courthouse in Miami on Monday, a Justice Department source told the Daily Mail. They were arrested there in 2022, accused of participating in schemes to lure women for sexual exploitation. They denied those allegations and the case didn't go forward because of legal and procedural irregularities. The former professional kickboxers have amassed a following of fans, particularly young men and boys, by professing a lifestyle of luxury and unapologetic misogyny. 'Officers from our major crime unit have been working closely alongside the Crown Prosecution Service and both national and international law enforcement agencies as part of this complex investigation,' Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas of the UK's Bedfordshire Police force said. 'We understand the interest that this case will generate, but we would urge the public not to speculate and to allow the legal process to be carried out correctly. 'There is no place for male violence against women and girls, and we will continue to work tirelessly to support victims and investigate all reports made to us.' This is a breaking news story.
