أشارت المتحدثة الإعلامية باسم البيت الأبيض، كارولين ليفيت، الأربعاء، إلى ضربات الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب، على إيران باعتبارها أهم دليل حتى الآن على أنه "لا يخادع"، مؤكدة أنه "مستعد لإطلاق العنان للجحيم"، على حد تعبيرها.

وقالت ليفيت: "لطالما كان السلام خيار الرئيس المفضل. لا حاجة لمزيد من الموت والدمار. لكن إن لم تتقبل إيران واقع اللحظة الراهنة، وإن لم تستوعب هزيمتها العسكرية التي ستستمر، فسيضمن الرئيس ترامب توجيه ضربة أقوى لها من أي وقت مضى".
