أعلنت وزارة الدفاع العراقية، اليوم الخميس، نجاح دفاعاتها الجوية في التصدي لطائرة مسيرة "مجهولة" وإسقاطها في محافظة كركوك، بالتزامن مع تصاعد حدة التوترات الأمنية التي تشهدها المنطقة.

وذكرت الوزارة في بيان ورد لوكالة شفق نيوز، أن رادارات الرصد التابعة للجيش تمكنت من تحديد طائرة مسيرة كانت تحلق على مستوى منخفض ضمن قاطع مسؤولية الفوج الثالث (اللواء 44 - الفرقة المشاة 11) التابع لقيادة عمليات كركوك.

وأوضح البيان أن "مفرزة السرية الثانية في الفوج المذكور تمكنت من استهداف الطائرة وإسقاطها في قرية (الفاخرة)، دون تسجيل أي خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية في المنطقة".

وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن "قوة عسكرية معززة بمفرزة من صنف هندسة الميدان انتقلت فوراً إلى موقع سقوط الطائرة لاتخاذ الإجراءات الفنية اللازمة، ورفع الحطام لمعاينته ومعالجة الموقف أصولياً"، بهدف تحديد هوية الطائرة والجهة التي تقف وراء إطلاقها.
