أعلنت هيئة الحشد الشعبي في العراق مقتل قائد عمليات الأنبار سعد دواي البعيجي مع عدد من مرافقيه إثر غارة جوية أميركية استهدفت مقرًا للحشد داخل قاعدة الحبانية في محافظة الأنبار غرب البلاد.

وذكرت الهيئة أن الضربة الجوية استهدفت مقر القيادة في مدينة الحبانية، ما أدى إلى مقتل قائد عمليات الحشد في الأنبار سعد البعيجي وعدد من المسؤولين المرافقين له.

وأفادت وسائل إعلام عراقية بأن القتلى شملوا أيضًا مدير أمن الحشد الشعبي حيدر المعموري، إلى جانب مدير استخبارات الحشد في الأنبار واثق الفرطوسي، وعدد من عناصر الحماية.

كما أسفر الهجوم عن إصابة أكثر من 15 شخصًا، وفق مصادر عراقية تحدثت عن وقوع الاستهداف أثناء وجود عدد من القيادات داخل المقر.

وأوضح مصدر أمني لوكالة “شفق نيوز” أن القصف استهدف مبنى يقع في منطقة الهضبة داخل قاعدة الحبانية، حيث كان يُستخدم من قبل قائد عمليات حشد الأنبار، مشيرًا إلى أن الضربة وقعت لحظة انعقاد اجتماع داخل المقر.

وأضاف المصدر أن مصير مدير استخبارات الحشد في شرق الأنبار إلى جانب مسؤول آخر ما يزال غير واضح حتى الآن، في ظل استمرار عمليات البحث والتحقق من حصيلة الضحايا.

وتأتي هذه الضربة في وقت تشهد فيه المنطقة توترًا متصاعدًا نتيجة الحرب الدائرة بين إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة من جهة وإيران من جهة أخرى، وهو ما انعكس على الساحة العراقية.

وخلال الفترة الأخيرة نفذت جماعات مسلحة مدعومة من طهران عدة هجمات استهدفت قواعد عسكرية أميركية داخل العراق، الأمر الذي أدى إلى تصاعد المواجهات غير المباشرة داخل البلاد.
