A Milli Kadın Voleybol Takımı, grup maçları ve finallere ev sahipliği yapmanın avantajını kullanarak 2023'ten sonra bir kez daha Avrupa'nın zirvesine çıkmayı hedefliyor. Milli takım, 2023'te Belçika'da düzenlenen organizasyonun finalinde Sırbistan'ı 3-2 yenerek Avrupa şampiyonluğuna ulaşmıştı. Ay-yıldızlı ekip, İstanbul'da düzenlenecek şampiyonada da zirvede yer alarak ünvanını korumaya çalışacak. A Milli Kadın Voleybol Takımı, 2023'te olduğu gibi Milletler Ligi (VNL) ve Avrupa şampiyonluğu başarısını 2026'da da tekrarlamayı hedefliyor. 2023'te VNL'i kazandıktan kısa süre sonra Avrupa şampiyonu olan Türkiye, 2026 yazına da VNL zaferiyle başladı. Milli takım, Avrupa şampiyonu olması halinde 2023'te olduğu gibi hem VNL'de hem de Avrupa Şampiyonası'nda zirveye ulaşmış olacak. A Milli Kadın Voleybol Takımı, katıldığı son 4 Avrupa şampiyonasının tamamında madalya kazanmayı başardı. 2017 ve 2021'de bronz, 2019'da gümüş, 2023'te ise altın madalya elde eden Türkiye, son 5 Avrupa şampiyonasının tamamında en az yarı final oynadı. Türkiye, kadınlarda Avrupa şampiyonalarına 17. kez katılacak. İlki 1949'da düzenlenen Avrupa Kadınlar Voleybol Şampiyonası'na Türkiye, ilk kez 1963'te Romanya'da katıldı. Daha sonra Türkiye, bu organizasyonda 1967, 1981, 1989, 1995, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 ve 2023 yıllarında mücadele etti. Türk Kadın Voleybol Takımı, yükselişine 2003'te Türkiye'de düzenlenen Avrupa Şampiyonası'nda başladı. Daha önce 4 kez Avrupa şampiyonalarına katılan Türkiye, 2003'ten bu yana düzenlenen 12 turnuvanın tamamında yer alma hakkı elde etti. 2003'te Ankara'da final oynayarak gümüş madalya kazanan Türkiye, 2023'te altın, 2019'da gümüş, 2011, 2017 ve 2021'de ise bronz madalya elde etti. Türkiye'nin şampiyona tarihinde 1 altın, 2 gümüş ve 3 bronz olmak üzere toplam 6 madalyası bulunuyor.
