المصدر: CGTN EN | Source: CGTN ENAt least 25 people have been killed and dozens injured in rain-related incidents in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province since March 25, authorities said Thursday.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported widespread damage, with 77 houses affected, including 33 destroyed. The worst-hit districts include Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Karak.
Rescue 1122, the leading emergency humanitarian service of Pakistan, said teams have been deployed to the affected regions. They provide emergency assistance, including medical aid and temporary shelter to displaced families.
Efforts are ongoing to clear debris and restore access to remote areas cut off by the rains.
The PDMA has issued alerts warning of continued rainfall in parts of the province, with forecasts indicating that the wet spell may persist until Saturday.
